Kvarner (The Peltastis wreck)
Kvarner is home to the Peltastis wreck, locally known as the “GRK”, which sank in 1968. Visitors will enjoy watching the large groups of fish swim around the wreck and the beautiful flora and fauna. Diving is recommended at night because most of the sea animals are nocturnal. The Peltastis wreck is in excellent condition and is a favorite amongst Croatian wrecks for passionate divers. The full length of the wreck is 60 meters.
Dubrovnik (The Wrecks Tomislav and Taranto)
This is heralded as Croatia’s most popular tourist and diving location. Dubrovnik has it all –amazing beaches, plenty things to see, and some of the finest resorts and diving centers, including the Blue Planet diving center, where visitors can gain additional experience from amazing courses with professional instructors, well known in the Croatian diving scene.
Visitors will enjoy diving around the Islands of Dubrovnik, which are famous for their crystal-clear blue waters endowed with plenty of marine animals. Wreck divers will also enjoy the spectacular view of the wreck Tomislav and Taranto.
Island of Brijuni (The Baron Gautsch Wreck)
This wreck offers one of the best diving adventures in Croatia. Located near the island of Brijuni and the Istrian coast, the Baron Gautsch is well preserved and in the best condition possible for exploring. The ship sank in 1914 after being hit by an underwater mine, with its top deck located at 28 meters and the bottom at 42 meters.
It is considered one of the most popular wreck diving destinations in the North Adriatic Sea. Visitors will be able to access several diving centers like the popular Shark Diving center, which has plenty of experienced divers to guide them safely through a wonderful time. The wreck is also home to beautiful and colorful marine creatures.
Island Vis (The Teti, Fortunal and Vassilios)
This is one of the largest islands in Croatia. Diving around Vis offers a variety of spectacles that leave you breathless. It offers many caves and walls, a variety of marine life and wrecks. Among the wrecks that can be explored are: Wreck Teti, Fortunal and Vassilios.
Vis also offers several archeological sites of both Greek and Roman descent, making the island Vis a top destination for diving in Croatia. Excellent hospitality is guaranteed by the available diving centers in the area including: the Anma Diving Center, Issa Diving center, and Dodoro diving center, where visitors can find professional dive instructors as well.
Korcula (Vela Luka)
Located on the island of Korcula, this diving location was described as the most complex and most interesting underwater site in the Mediterranean by famous diving photographers such as Antonello Paone and Franco Banfi. Vela Luka offers scenic underwater exploration with plenty of fish and thriving marine life. There are crustaceans, sea horses, rockfish, and eels. Visitors will be able to explore the numerous caves and overhangs while diving. Various wrecks are also found in this location.

I loved your blog...amazing tips for Croatia. First week of June I will be in Krk for my Open Water Diver course, finally! Every time I tried to take this course somewhere, it didnt work out, this time it will! And in December Im going to the Red Sea :)
