Jamie Hayes (jchayes) I am a marine biologist and enthusiast of all things oceanic. Whether snorkeling, diving, surfing, or sailing, I'm always excited to get in the water. I learned to dive in the beautiful waters of a Fijian lagoon, on Gau Island. Since then, my diving has taken me from cenotes in the Mexican Riviera Maya to the frigid waters off Rhode Island. I've found that no matter where you dive, there exists a separate and fascinating universe just under the surface.

I have a deep love and appreciation for the ocean and all the creatures there in. I am a Nudibranch fan and my favorite marine mammal is the dolphin (cliche I know). I love to explore with my dive buddy who is also my husband an ex navy diver. We love to raise awareness with my underwater images, getting more people to fall in love with the ocean. My father and I recently went to Costa Rica for vacation together. I thought it would be fun to scuba dive together, which required my dad to get certified. Unfortunately, my father was not able to go, because of a medical condition. That is just where the problem begin. After going to the doctor, we where told we would be refunded the money for his training and dive. That deal lasted as long as it took for us to leave the office. Oceans Unlimited has since not to refund our money. Since Oceans Unlimited was highly rated, I didn't bring any gear, knowing that they will provided what I needed. Where to start.
