Overview

DiveAdvisor is a new service that will be launching in the 2nd quarter of 2013 and aims to be a truly comprehensive communication tool that caters to all elements and users within the Scuba Industry/Market.

We intend to become the Global Standard for maintaining an online Scuba Profile for both Divers and Dive Shops and thereby becoming a key resource for Divers looking to research and select the destinations, dive sites and dive shops that best suits their needs.

Our goal is to be an objective and neutral platform that allows user generated content to map out the real world as best as possible. We aim to represent all Dive Licensing Bodies, Dive Shops and Dive Sites equally.

Board of Advisors

The Board of Advisors is our way to add credibility and validity of the information that is located on our websites and have an ongoing connection with top tier professionals in the Scuba World.

Through careful research and networking we will be hand picking a collective of highly qualified and experienced professionals to join our Board of Advisors. All Board of Advisors members have to be Staff Instructors, Course Directors or an equivalent qualification level.

The members of the Board of Advisors would be required:

• Read over and moderate articles written by our authors about the destinations that they are moderating.
• Trying their best to check the correctness of the data on the Dive Sites & Dive Shops located within their destination.
• Resolving possible disputes arising over data correctness within their destination; Dive Site locations for example.
• Participating in occasional group conference calls to discuss possible improvements in the system, existing problems and other miscellaneous topics.

Compensation

The positioning of your bio and dive shop link makes it likely that a good portion of those visitors will click through your Dive Shop Profile page, and they will all definitely see it and therefore be exposed to it. You will thereby establish yourself as an authority of knowledge in respect to diving in that destination.

- You gain highly qualified and targeted sales leads (someone looking at Egypt as a potential dive destination for e.g)

Due to the high on-going exposure - your Dive Shop will gain Followers within our system. Your ‘followers’ will subsequently see all dive logs or media posted or even tagged to your dive shop.

As a result:

• You gain highly qualified and targeted sales leads (someone looking at Egypt as a Dive Shop for e.g) that are exposed to your Dive Shop.
• The Direct link from such a high traffic volume page will increase the ranking of your Dive Shop Profile Page, meaning that its own google rankings will rise in relation to other destinations in that region.
• Due to the high on-going exposure - your Dive Shop will gain ‘Followers’ within our system who will see all Dive Logs that you post or even simply verify as well as all media shot by your clients.
• You will gain credibility and recognition as a source of information and collected knowledge of Scuba Diving in that specific region.

The Future

Dive Advisor is founded by a team of extremely competent and driven young entrepreneurs and has been approximately 16 months in the making with an enormous quantity of data collected, mostly manually by a team of researchers.

At launch, we will have information on:

• 7,000+ Dive Shop Listings
• 19,000 + Dive Site Listings
• 300+ systemized and categorized certifications by all licensing bodies
• 800+ types of marine life
• 10,000+ airports
• 100+ unique articles written

In the future we will be launching different language versions of the site: ‘DiveAdvisor.ru’, ‘DiveAdvisor.jp’, ‘DiveAdvisor.com.mx’ etc.

The system is set up to collect an enormous amount of analytics based on the Dive Logs of users which will hopefully become digitized, for e.g:

• Temperature data in specific areas or dive sites by month
• Mapping out of sightings of specific animals during specific months
• Data on visibility by month
