The Nocturnal beaded sea cucumber (Euapta lappa) hides during day and feeds at night. It can stretch its body to almost 1m in length and its body segments have large bead-like protrusions that give it its name. Sea cucumbers are almost all detrivores. This means that they eat the tiny scrap particles that are usually abundant in the environment they inhabit.
