I am a Scuba Diver, Free Diver, Solo Diver, Performance Swimmer, Underwater Photographer & Volunteer. I am a former Lifeguard. My main area and focus is Puget Sound Underwater Marine Life / Critters. I am a Documentarist. I share my pictures exactly as my camera captured it. I may sometimes trim the size but that is it. What I see underwater is what you see in my pictures. To me the Subject is as much important as its surrounding environment. That is why most of my pictures are shot with Super Wide Angle Fish Eye lens 111 degree angle. Don’t be surprised of the water background color to be mostly in Green shades. Puget Sound is also frequently referred as Emerald Sea. Water color can vary between the seasons, locations and even weather conditions. My biggest inspiration has been my Dear Friend Jan Kocian. From all the books and resources I have learned the most from Him. Thank you Jan! Here is the website with "Puget Sound Critters" Database: https://mareksk.smugmug.com/

Jamie Hayes (jchayes) I am a marine biologist and enthusiast of all things oceanic. Whether snorkeling, diving, surfing, or sailing, I'm always excited to get in the water. I learned to dive in the beautiful waters of a Fijian lagoon, on Gau Island. Since then, my diving has taken me from cenotes in the Mexican Riviera Maya to the frigid waters off Rhode Island. I've found that no matter where you dive, there exists a separate and fascinating universe just under the surface.

What I see is that "Spring is in the air and water" and when the World is met with human tragedies we need Hope and "Good News" anywhere we can. That is a definitely a good news to share. It looks like many Crab Couple seem to be "holding hands" (or rather claws) and looking eachother in the eyes with Love & Hope. May be we Humans need to take some lessons from those Royals living at our doorsteps."
