About Us

Established in 1989, Ventura Dive & Sport has made every effort to remain ahead of the curve in both recreational diving and diver education. Now in our 20th year, our training department includes two full-time PADI Course Directors, each being dedicated to the safety instruction and the enjoyment of scuba diving. In addition to these two individuals who hold the highest instructor rating offered by PADI, Ventura Dive & Sport also boasts more Master Instructors than any other dive center in California as well as a support staff of Instructors and Divemasters who are waiting to share their knowledge and experience with you.

From the equipment we sell in our showroom to the top-of-the-line equipment we offer in our rental department, we always take the high road with the very best gear that our manufacturers offer. Our custom 46ft Newton Dive Boat, the Raptor, also carries on with the tradition of excellence that our customers have come to expect. The Raptor, like Ventura Dive & Sport, is staffed with the very best divemasters and boat captains around and you will soon learn to appreciate how much they care about your experiences. We never do anything halfway.

As a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Center, our training programs are recognized as the finest in the industry. Our training programs are performance-based and student-centered, whether you are in an entry-level course such as Open Water Diver or a professional-level class such as Divemaster. The instructors at Ventura Dive and Sport are here to ensure that each and every dive skill and the academic concept is mastered.
