What is Smart Learning?

Hwang (2014) and Scott & Benlamri (2010) consider intelligent learning to be pervasive, context-based learning that helps to write my paper. Gwak (2010) proposed an intelligent learning concept as follows: first, it focuses on students and content rather than devices; second, it is effective, intelligent, and adapted learning based on advanced IT infrastructure. Technology plays an important role in supporting smart learning, but the focus should not be limited to the use of smart devices. Kim et al. (2013) considered that intelligent learning, which combines the advantages of social and pervasive learning, is a student-centered and service-oriented educational paradigm, rather than focusing solely on the use of devices. Middleton (2015) also stipulates the student-centered aspects of smart learning and how it benefits from the use of smart technologies. Personal and intelligent technologies engage students in their learning and increase their independence in ways that are more open, connected, and augmented by personally richer contexts. In addition, others focus on collecting the characteristics of this Smart Learning. MEST (2011) presented the characteristics of intelligent learning that is defined as self-directed, motivated, adaptable, enriched in resources, and with incorporated technology. Lee et al. (2014) proposed that the characteristics of intelligent learning include formal and informal learning, social and collaborative learning,

What is the ideal setting for Smart Learning?

After reviewing the most significant contributions, we could summarize that the ideal Smart Learning Environment is characterized by proposing a model centered on the learner, with a personalized and adaptable learning solution, based on interactive and collaborative tools, with contextual and omnipresent access. This supposed scenario aims to promote and support the development of effective, efficient, and meaningful learning.

Therefore, the goal of these Smart Learning Environments is to provide a rich, personalized, and seamless learning experience for learners. Thus, with a seamless learning experience, smart environments can encompass both formal and informal learning. Thus, to achieve a personalized learning experience, such environments provide rich and accurate learning services through the use of learning analytics.

Based on the demanded requirements, the following ten key characteristics of intelligent learning environments are proposed:

  1. Presence awareness: Know the location of the participants in real-time.
  2. Knowledge of the Context: Explore different scenarios and activity information, don't forget to read compare and contrast essay tips.
  3. Social awareness: Feeling the social relationship.
  4. Interoperability: Establish a standard between different resources, services, and platforms.
  5. Connectivity: Provide continuous service when any device connects.
  6. Adaptability: Promote learning resources according to access, preference, and demand for learning.
  7. Ubiquity: Provide a visual and transparent way to access learning resources and related services.
  8. Learning to monitor: Record the learning trajectory data for deep analysis. After being evaluated, propose suggestions and provide service on demand.
  9. Natural Interaction: Transfer the senses of multimodal interaction including recognition of position and facial expression.
  10. Alto Engagement: Encourage immersion in interactive and multidirectional learning experiences based on technologically rich environments.
