All the similan islands liveaboard boats have spent the last few weeks in the boat yards being painted and polished. All fully serviced ready to welcome the first divers on board who are all eager to be the first into the water for the new similan island divingseason.
The similans is a marine national park and closed for six months to allow the marine life to have a good break from the noise of boats and the divers. A chance for the life on the reefs to go on as normal with out us interfering with them. This is why its alway a great start to the season as you get to see all the great sights as they should be. All the shy creatures are still out and about as they should be, plus everyone wants to be the first to get the Manta Ray photos and Whale Shark photos for this year.
Phuket Thailand has plenty to see underwater but as the similan islands are know as the best islands in Thailand and as for scuba diving goes some of the best diving in the world. The water so clear and a very nice 28 – 30 degrees all year round makes for perfect diving conditions. Stunning corals and fantastic marine life makes the similan islands and Surin islands a much sort after dive trip.
A similan liveaboard is by many people thinking may be a bit much for new divers but the similan islands offer great diving but in very easy locations. Again they dont have to be long trips either. For the first time why not just go over night. The food is great, the diving is great and you get to stay in an air conditioned cabin in a calm bay on a tropical island. Any good phuket dive center will have several options for you and will be able to fix you up with pretty much any date you like ( as long as there is space on the boat of course).
To most people the words liveaboard similan islands means just one thing. Perfect diving every dive. From the soaring pinnacles at Koh tachai and the day spent divingrichelieu Rock to the crystal clear waters of the Similan islands themselves means that every dive you do will be as good as it gets. From one day to one week by joining any of the Thailand liveaboards will be a dream trip.
