About Us
We, Mal, Sofia and Martin have been guiding and teaching on Roatan for the past 10 years. While logging 1000’s of dives, many of our divers asked us ´why don’t you start up your own dive shop’ so finally we did!
Opened in 2013, Sun Divers’ philosophy is to provide a professional and relaxed environment for new, experienced and repeat divers, starting with our idyllic beachfront location, literally 5 steps to the water. We believe that a personable, customer orientated, experienced staff are the key to being a successful dive business. With our staff you have this and more.
In starting up we drew from our experience of what works best here on Roatan, from designing our own custom built dive boat, choosing the best rental dive gear, hiring a trusted local captain to providing water and fruit on board and creating a relaxed environment before, during and after diving.
We’ll go the extra mile, our mentality is to be flexible to the client, provide a variety of dive experiences and locations whether it’s a full day excursion, outer island diving or simply picking you up at your dock. Our aim is to be THE small dive center on Roatan and have you thinking about your next visit before finishing your first!
