I began in Costa Rica with Diving Safaris in 1998. After fifteen years of running a big dive operation I realized that I wanted something smaller and more personalized, less stress and more fun..diving with my friends and customers. So, I began again with Sirenas Diving Costa Rica! “One of the things I LOVE about diving is the weightlessness of being underwater and how we all feel like we are flying”, so we jokingly said we were in mermaid school (esquela de las sirenas). And so that is how we got our name…Sirenas Diving Costa Rica. I have many favorite dive sites. Locally I love Tortuga, Surprise, Argentina Point, Virador, Meros, Palmares, Narizones, Catalinas Wall, Arco Iris, Bajo Tiburones, Punta Gorda, Bat Islands Los Arcos, Big Scare, Black rock and Anika's Magic. I love diving here and 3,000 dives later I'm still excited to go diving. I enjoy teaching and helping people to be better divers. I also love to dance and be involved with cultural activities.
Mairead Doyle (mairead) I’ve been blogging since I received my very own domain name for my birthday back in 2003, and I've been diving since 2001. I'm a bit of a fair-weather diver, preferring tropical waters above anything else, but I have dived the north Atlantic and a very chilly Port Philip Bay in Melbourne, Australia. I even got dry-suit certified and my goal is to dive in the Shetland Islands. I hope you enjoy my blog posts.

Matt Draper (mattdraper) Originally from New Zealand, I now reside in the small beach side community of Byron Bay, Australia. With an interest in photojournalism and ocean imagery, photography has allowed me to travel to remote areas of the world-documenting subjects for the purpose of education and positive change for the environment. I started practising underwater photography in 2014 and ever since have tried to use my photographs as a way to spread awareness about environmental issues as well as foster love for the ocean by replacing fear with fascination. I do enjoy to scuba dive, but all my images are taking while free diving under natural light. Matty.

Melissa Miller (melissamaja) I’m a Swedish American who grew up with nature’s tranquility at my doorstep. One day I decided to travel, to see the world – and have done so ever since. My curiosity, desire for adventure and love for all that mother nature has created, took me around the world on an unforgettable journey with both highs and lows. After about 7 years abroad, I decided to move to Sweden. In Sweden I educate myself to a Mountain and Adventure Leader. My days consisted of mountain hikes, climbing, rafting, skiing, ATV driving, diving, safety and rescue work and much much more. Today I’m trying to find a balance between an adventurous crazy life and a life back home. Let’s see how that goes! From time to time I also work as a model, and recently I educated myself to a stuntwoman. Why not, right? My latest Adventures was the Swedish edition of Survivor (Robinson 2015) in Cambodia, and after that work for Strix Television in the Philippines.
