So often on a ten day liveaboard there will be a few dives that barely register as memorable; the Indo Siren safari in Raja Ampat offered spectacular diving on every occasion, dive after dive after dive. You didn't dare miss one for a very justifiable fear that you would miss out on a blue-ringed octopus or a brace of wobbegongs. The soft corals were outstandingly beautiful - breathtakingly colourful and in such pristine condition that it was a privilege to be in the same waters. The boat itself, like all the Siren Fleet was first class: excellent staff, facilities, accommodation and cuisine. If you haven't been yet, book that ticket!
Raja Ampat was the best place I've ever dived and exceeds its reputation for amazing diving. The Indo-Siren took us to numerous sites, all of which were outstanding. The crew was excellent at spotting all kinds of things including nudibranches, pygmy seahorses, frogfish, pipefish, etc. The food was excellent and catered to all tastes .
Raja Ampat seems to be on everyone's bucket list at the moment ... having completed a 9 day trip we can see why. We have dived all over the world and Raja has some of the best coral reefs that we have seen in terms of abundance of colours and sea life. Generally the reefs are in pristine condition and makes for a fantastic diving experience. We have never seen so many sea fans and pygmy seahorses ... photo and video opportunities are endless, whether it is wide angle or macro ... there really is something for everyone. We dived in both the North and South, and there is no better way to experience Raja Ampat than on the Indo Siren. The crew cater for all needs, are friendly and helpful and really make the trip. The Indo Siren is a divers boat with ample space for everybody, even when the...
Make no mistake this is a great boat with capable staff operating in a great area.
Areas for improvement might seem unfair given it *is* a boat but that's the difference between 4 and 5 stars.
Cabins are generally OK but it's the luck of the draw if you get one close to the (hot and noisy) engine-room or in the cooler but less spacey pointy end of the boat.
However these are nit picky things - the crew were extremely friendly and capable, food great and diving similarly so.
And it's the staff that make the difference - they were very very good.
Would I go again? Yes.
the trip was just amazing , the Dive guides were professional and friendly , they did tier best to get more and more critters to show us , the crew were very tendering and friendly , your gear will be ready before you dive , they handled the camera rigs very good and they did all their best just to make us comfortable and happy , if you want to enjoy a live aboard book with Siren
From they picked us up at the hotel in Sorong, we felt that these people will take care of us. Their hospitality and friendship was outstanding. Nice cabins good food and marvelous diving with our dive guide Kathy. This organization can highly be recommended
i had an awesome experience. The staff was incredible the boat very clean, food was great with a lot of variety. The dive sites were amazing, the weather was perfect. I was in paradise.
This is my second time aboard the Indo Siren. The boat and crew were just as wonderful - if not even more attentive than my visit in 2014. Everything from the boat's cleanliness, to the delicious meals to the quality of the dive briefings and our guides in finding amazing critters went above and beyond the norm, and my norm is 5* Siren Fleet!
Raja Ampat itself was simply stunning. The cruise director was very flexible with our schedule as we were a group of photographers and wished to maximise the best light and visibility for our photos. We spent 6 days diving the southern area around Misool an 2.5 days diving the north around Mansour and the Dampier Strait. For the most part we concentrated on wide angle shots but our guides foundus some wonderful critters including pygmy seahorse-...
Crew is as important as vessel in these trips. This crew was constantly upbeat. From my 04:30 rise into the Salon for my coffee, to the point I headed back to my birth for an oh so comfortable night's sleep they were taking care of every need. Some even before I thought of it. Hat's off to you all for making my time with you a party!
Thank you for everything, I enjoyed everything during the cruise in Raja Ampat!
Beautiful dives, nice boat, and very good food...
See you soon in one of your boats!
Getting the ideal Dive Experience is a great feeling and few things compare the perfect dive. Having said that, everyone’s definition of a perfect dive greatly varies but one thing that would be useful to any diver is information.
Our reviews allow for users to meaningfully express their diving experience across a series of Dive Sites and a single Dive Shop.
We feel that reviews of various businesses and locations are some of the most valuable benefits that the internet has brought about. There are people that truly deliver a good service and take pride in the work they do and then there are those who are in for the short term profit. It is important to distinguish these businesses and reward the ones who deserve your money.
