About us

Marco was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras and grew up in the United States. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Florida and a Master’s of Human Resource Development Degree from Clemson University in South Carolina.

Upon graduation, he worked three years at Clemson’s Department of Computer Information Technology then enlisted and served in the US Army’s Technical Escort Unit for three years shortly after 911. He was honorably discharged from the US Army and later worked for Pulte Homes as a Customer Relations Manager in Jacksonville, Florida. Once he fell in love with diving in Roatan, he eventually traded the khaki pants and collared shirt for board shorts and a rash guard. Marco worked for Coconut Tree Divers here in West End for 8 years, earning the opportunity through dedication and hard work to establish Quality Time Divers. His goal is to provide guests with the ultimate diving experience and to facilitate the development of competent and confident divers.

A PADI Staff Instructor and a DSAT Tec 50 diver with over 800 certifications rating from PADI Scuba Divers to Divemasters, he has done over 5000 dives in the Bay Islands.Catracha is a 25 ft. Mako currently powered by a 200 Yamaha two-stroke engine. With ten tank holders this boat is a comfortable ride and used regularly for two-tank dives. The boat has a custom built ladder for easy access to come aboard after a dive or snorkel.

Take your gear off in the water and we will lift it onto the boat. Pass your fins up and climb the ladder. Forget those inverted rock climbing type ladders. This (baby) was designed with comfort in mind. We recently replaced the fuel tank and she now holds 110 gallons of fuel, giving us a longer range of dive sites we can visit.
