The MV Marco Polo is owned and run by Sea Bees Diving, who have many years experience running dive centres and liveaboards in Thailand. She is a sturdy 24m craft offering divers comfortable accommodation and excellent diving facilities. Three spacious double cabins have individually controlled air conditioning, two with a large bed and an extra single bed for storage while the honeymoon cabin in the bow of the ship has a kingsize bed. Four cabins have large twin bunks and are cooled by fans. All cabins have reading lights and 220V outlets with electricity available throughout the day and space to store personal belongings and hang clothes.
Doors open out on to the outer deck, making the cabins cool and airy. There are four toilets with handbasins, two hot water showers and three open air showers. On the large upper party deck there is a comfortable saloon with seating, dining tables and shady areas in which to sit and relax. Coffee and soft drinks are always available.
The captain of the Marco Polo has had many years experience navigating the waters of the Andaman Sea and the tour leader is an SSI and PADI instructor with excellent knowledge of the local dive sites. The two cooks in the galley prepare delicious Thai specialities and snacks and are happy to help with any special dietary needs, while two crew members keep the boat ship-shape and are also on hand to fill tanks and help with diving equipment.
