I had a fantastic experience at Scuba Total. With just a one day notice, Gaby was able to book an additional instructor and obtain 2 Nitrox tanks.
Another couple and I dove with Aldo, the owner. He was super friendly and funny but also supportive and focused on safety. He helped me get properly weighted for a new wetsuit. Unfortunately, my legs sink like stones. We worked hard to put some trim weights up high, with only partial success.
One of the other divers brought a new regulator he had purchased, but he had not received all the components yet. Aldo went to the trouble to install an octopus, console with depth and pressure gauges and a low pressure inflator hose onto his first stage.
We had a great couple of dives and saw lots of sea life including barracuda, eagle rays, Moray eels and a nurse shark as well as tons of healthy corral and sponges.
Prices are very reasonable and the service is fantastic. I had rinsed my wetsuit and hung it over a rope, but when I got back to the resort discovered I had not brought it back with me. Gaby located the wetsuit and coordinated its return. I had planned to go back and pick it up, but got stuck in a timeshare presentation. (If you've done it, you understand 😖.) Aldo actually went to the trouble to bring it to me at the resort.
The resort had referred me to another company, but their reviews convinced me otherwise and I found Scuba Total. I have recommended that my resort NOT refer to this other company and instead send people to this great operation.
