About Us

Kona Honu Divers is dedicated to providing an eco-friendly business for our guests and diving ohana.  The steps we have taken to become more "green" include:

  • The dive shop and compressor is powered by solar energy
  • The lights in the shop are LED and CFL's
  • Dive lights are LED and rechargeable
  • LED glow sticks
  • No plastic shopping bags
  • Digital liability waivers
  • We are a Manta Ray Greenlist Activity Provider
  • Filtered water & compostable cups (no plastic, bottle or can waste)
  • Donate to the Malama Kai Foundation to keep the moorings maintained
  • Sell only reef safe sunscreen
  • Inform and encourage our guests to use reef safe sunscreens
  • Host regular underwater & beach clean ups
  • Guests have the option to offset their carbon footprint by making a small donation to Hawaiian Legacy Hardwoods
  • We support Hawaii Ocean Watch.
