Indigo Scuba is owned by Deon and Kate, who met through their love of scuba diving in early 2000. Since then they have been exploring the reefs of False Bay and the Cape Peninsula and teaching people to become comfortable and confident scuba divers. They are passionate about scuba travel and arrange regular trips to the Red Sea and Mozambique, destinations they have been travelling to since 2001.
Deon is a qualified SSI Instructor Trainer. Instructing since 2000, Deon’s calm, friendly approach to scuba training has resulted in the qualification of many scuba divers of all levels. Diving the reefs of the Cape Peninsula and False Bay since 1999, Deon has gained extensive knowledge of the top dive sites in the area and will make sure you get to see the very best of Cape Town and False Bay diving! Kate is an SSI Dive Control Specialist and assists Deon with his Open Water Diver Courses, teaches Refresher Courses and is an experienced Dive Guide.
She has been exploring Cape Town waters since 2000 and is passionate about everything to do with the ocean. Kate will help you seek out rare and elusive nudibranchs and other marine life unique to our waters and will assist with identifying everything you’ve seen during your dives. She is also an avid underwater photographer and videographer, responsible for Indigo Scuba’s Photos and Diving Videos. Indigo Scuba has a specially designed dive centre in the mountainside residential area of Gordon’s Bay.
Here, you will find a well-stocked shop, comfortable lecture room and a wet area where you can wash and hang your gear after diving. We have a compressor room where we can fill your cylinders whilst you have a cup of tea or coffee and chat about diving or find the identities of some of the interesting creatures you’ve just seen on your dives with us.
