This was my 3rd trip with the snefro fleet and as hallways it has been a pleasure to dive with them. Good facilities and wonder full crew. My full recommendation from here.
I love Oonasdivers and was glad I could book the boat I wanted but using Oonas. Contact is always fantastic. This is my second holiday with them and in a couple of months I am going on a photo workshop with them. As you can see I have the Oonas bug.
The staff of Oonasdivers are extremely helpful and knowledgable. We had originally booked onto the Juliet Liveaboard but a few weeks before departure we were told that it was going in for service during the week we were due to be on it. We were changed onto King Snefro 3 which again a few weeks later was changed due to that also going in for servicing. The third Liveaboard, King Snefro Pearl, was then allocated to us. The staff at Oonasdivers provided as all the info we needed for this lovely boat. Nothing was to much trouble for them. The King Snefro Pearl was a amazing Liveaboard with a awesome, professional and fun crew. We had the best week ever. Definitely will use again.
If you like any or all of the following then this boat is for you:
1. cramped cabin (luggage has to be stored on "sun deck") with bunk beds (restricted headroom)
2. lukewarm showers (with very little power)
3. the smell of diesel (especially strong at night when trying to sleep)
4. poor choice of food for vegetarians
5. very little or no help preparing to dive
6. very little or no help ascending ladder after dive
7. no "hospitality drink" after dives, particularly welcome after night dives
8. no "lounge" area
9. no current strength determination prior to dive
10. no area for privacy at night (when trying to get away from diesel smell in cabin) due to crew members' sleeping arrangements
11. more expensive than other Red Sea liveaboards
I was pretty sick of the north before this tour but now I can't wait to go back. The boat is just as sweet as I remembered & the crew are fantastic. I've gone from 1 trip a year to 2 and now am considering 3! Roll on 2015.
Having just returned from Sharm after diving from M Y Juliet I would recommend this trip to anyone, novice or experienced. There is quality diving for all grades, and the dive guide makes you feel safe and secure what ever the conditions.
The boat and crew are great, food is plentiful and cabins comfortable.
The Captain certainly knows the locations well and the guide, Wael (Willey) knew how to avoid the mass dives often experienced in this region. His timing was immaculate.
Nitrox is available per dive or all week (to be paid for on board). An after dive shower is supplied on the diving platform, to rinse kit and hair!!
A great boat and holiday.
I was very pleased with Oonasdivers during the booking of the holiday. they really helped me choosing the best fit for my wishlist!
We went on a liveaboard on emperors elite in South red sea. the days on the boat were absolutely perfect! great service, great dives.
However we felt very disappointed on the services regarding the transfers. On arrival we met the emperor representative who told us to wait in a corner. with no explanation. We waited one and a half hour for other four guests to arrive with different flights! this is to be expected but would have appreciated a little bit of communication! on our last day we were disembarKed at 1pm and transferred into a nearby hotel were we spent the night. the day after we were transferred to hurghada and left at 2pm at South Beach, a ve...
The entire holiday experience from booking to diving was a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable experience that will remain with the group for some time. The care and commitment shown by Oonasdivers is absolutely unquestionable. A big thank you from Preston Divers SAA30 - yet again!
I spent a week on board M.Y. Juliet from 4 October 2014.
This was my 3rd live aboard in the Red Sea and my first impressions were that the boat was very small but I had previously done a couple of the larger boats that took over 20 divers, Juliet takes 14. The boat looked a little tired but was extremely clean and very comfortable.
The crew were very welcoming and faultless, nothing was too much trouble. Our guide Kareem Yasser was fantastic, extremely flexible and catered to the needs of the divers on board taking the boat to sites that suited the levels assessed by him.
Highlights of the dive we seeing Dolphins in the channel at Sha'ab Abu Nuhas, Leopard Sharks, 2 Eagle Rays, Turtles and not forgetting the mighty Thistlegorm.
If I had one criticism it would be that they made u...
My partner and I have just returned home from an incredible weeks diving in the Red Sea on board MY Juliet (22/11/14 - 29/11/14).
We lasted dived from her in November 2007 and always promised to return. After several holidays to another Oonas resort (Marsa Shagra), we decided this year to return to the Juliet.
We were not disappointed - Captain Abdul and his crew were as accommodating, friendly and amazing as before.
Special thanks go out to Hani for supplying us with great air fills and to Mando for his welcome after each dive (not to mention the zipping up of the wetsuit!!). The boys in the galley kept us well fed with the most delicious meals and cake (we like cake), and to Abdul who looked after us and made sure we didn't miss out on breakfast, lunch and dinner.
A massive thank...
Getting the ideal Dive Experience is a great feeling and few things compare the perfect dive. Having said that, everyone’s definition of a perfect dive greatly varies but one thing that would be useful to any diver is information.
Our reviews allow for users to meaningfully express their diving experience across a series of Dive Sites and a single Dive Shop.
We feel that reviews of various businesses and locations are some of the most valuable benefits that the internet has brought about. There are people that truly deliver a good service and take pride in the work they do and then there are those who are in for the short term profit. It is important to distinguish these businesses and reward the ones who deserve your money.
In the long run, we aim to become a central and objective body that centralizes user generated content and provides an easily usable database of information that will hopefully improve the quality of the industry as a whole and improve the user experience across the board.
