A group of friends and I have been recently on the Carlton Queen.
Impression: Although the boat was apparently renovated, there is still some work on it. Ok, boats in EGY do not have an easy live due to wind and seaconditions, but anyway (doors which could not be closed as the wood had been widened by water, shower not working, toilets not really working, cockroaches, bulleyes which were not properly sealed so that one mattrass was completely soaked...). Food is ok, but not special, and some of teh group had stomach problems and the Pharao's desease...Crew is very good and captain highly qualified and very keen on safety and security with lots of experience! Oxygen for medical issues on board and connected.
Nitrox NOT free, has to be requested and paid for.
Cabins ok with storage room and good matras. Toilet bins were only emptied after we had asked for it (even though it was mentioned that they would be cleaned every morning while we were diving; but we had to remind them...Shower was not repaired or checked even though we asked for it.
Short: Very satisfied with safety and security, but I have already seen and experienced much better boats
