About Us

The premiere scuba diving facility on the northern coast of the Dominican Republic. Owned and operated by Jurgen Rumpenhorst since 1994, and located right at the beach in Sousa, we are your home for aquatic adventures.

With more than 20 dive sites within 5 - 15 minutes, clear warm water, and friendly professional PADI certified staff, our team will ensure you’re diving safely and enjoying our amazing underwater world. Being only 15 minutes from the Puerto Plata international airport, close to the new Amber Cove cruise port, and 20 minutes from Cabarete, we can arrange affordable return transportation from all the hotels to ensure you have a hassle free diving experience.

If you’re already here in paradise, stop by to see us and join us for a cocktail in our Apres Dive Bar. Divecenter Merlin is an active participant in the monthly beach and divesite clean-up campaign as well as supports and contributes to the Sosua Coral Restoration program.
