Caño Island is one of the most beautiful destinations for Scuba Diving in Costa Rica.
The island is protected by the government and is currently a biological reserve.
Caño Island is located in the central Pacific, 40 miles off the coast of Parque Marino Ballena. The best way to travel to the island is by renting a Tour from Uvita.
It is also possible to travel to the island from Sierpe, near Corcovado National Park, but it takes much longer.
Because the island is in the open sea and is a point of convergence of marine currents, the amount of life that can be seen during a dive in Isla del Caño is impressive.
