Whale Shark Season ends in La Paz on May 31st

Whale Shark season in La Paz for 2015-2016 has been wonderful. Our clients have swam with sharks up to 36 feet long and we have seen even bigger animals on the coast of El Mogote. La Paz, Mexico an amazing spot for snorkeling with whale sharks. The best season is November thru March, but in April and May you will be able to swim with younger ones who are a bit shy.

As the season ends May 31st, the environment authority gives out certification courses for owners and crews of spotting boats, to give out the best practices to preserve and protect this wonderful species. Whale Sharks are most of the year in La Paz bay, but they move into deeper, colder water for the summer.

Season begins by July, 2016 and then we will make surveys of the animals we find. Stay connected.
