Welcome to Aquanauts Dive Shop!
Aquanauts has been providing ocean, cave and cenote diving in the Mayan Riviera since 2000. Our shop is located on the marina in the beautiful resort community of Puerto Aventuras about 15 minutes south of Playa del Carmen. Hotels in Puerto Aventuras include the Omni, Catalonia Riviera Maya, and Dreams. Within minutes from the shop are the Barcelo Maya and Aventuras Spa Palace.
Jim, Myrna, and son Nick, owners since November of 2009, work hard to make your diving adventures truly memorable. Nick is the shop manager as well as an instructor. Nick and our other instructor, Mauricio, will make your diving experience both safe and enjoyable, whether they're guiding you along colorful reefs or through majestic caverns. Your safety is always their first concern. And rest assured, your boat ride to the reefs will be a pleasure with the expertise and helpfulness of our boat captains, Victor and Fernando. And Jim and Myrna will be in the shop to answer all your questions.
Once you check in, you can leave your equipment at the shop during your stay. We will take care of getting your equipment to and from the boat each day, as well as rinsing and storing between dives. Since we are located on a marina, there is no wading through the sand to get to the boat. A short boat ride will get you to more than 20 reefs within 5 to 10 min.
If you've never dived or are a beginner, there is no better place to learn or improve your diving than Aquanauts Dive Shop in Puerto Aventuras. For you experienced divers, just relax with the gentle currents and enjoy the long dive times and abundant marine life.
