Aliwal Shoal Scuba/ Umkomaas Lodge Dive Charters  has been running since 1985 and is the First PADI Gold Palm Scuba Diving Resort in South Africa.

We have accommodation for divers and non-diver, as well as all inclusive dive packages. A fully rigged dive shop and charter.

Waves is our on-site restaurant/bar, with a deck overlooking the sea, right on the beach, friendly service and stunning menu, it's always a perfect way to end off your diving day. We have all amenities to make your stay a memorable one, with a Jacuzzi, tide pool, DSTV and tea and coffee available in all rooms with some of the best diving in   the world, and a team of awesome staff, we'll keep you busy and wanting to come back.

We also offer courses, from Dicover Scuba and Open Water, to Advanced and speciality courses. All gear for sale, new and second hand available, and we have gear for hire too.PADI

Situated alongside the well known Aliwal Shoal and right on the beach, we're just a stone's throw away from the Umkomaas river mouth.

Aliwal Shoal is rated one of the 10 best dive spots in the world, with a myriad of sea life that visits seasonally, as well as resident populations of everything from dolphins to pipefish.

Aliwal Shoal offers a feast of scuba diving and snorkeling. We have years of experience, passion for the ocean and vast knowledge of the area that we love to share with our visitors.
