Myself and Tioman Island, Malaysia

When i was a young boy, my dad always brought me to the wild for hunting, sail to the open sea for deep sea fishing, and encouraged me to be a pro tennis player as well. He raised me like a real man. Unfortunately, as i started my life career, it's impossible for me to accommodate all the stuff that i'd love to do in my younger days. In the end, i ended up myself to go back to the best and most interesting place to discover, the amazing open SEA.

Started as a frequent snorkeler back in Tioman with my best friends and i love the island ever since. Had my first scuba diving course and it didn't stop me there. The truth is, i am not into taking pictures. Likewise, scuba diving makes me addicted to be here as much as i can to capture all these amazing underwater creatures. Furthermore, it's an hour and a half to drive to Mersing, Johor to catch the ferry, which approximately will take another one and a half to two hours to reach the island.

After a couple of months of scuba diving from monthly to weekly basis, i trusted myself to bring down my existing compact camera with me. The results were not bad though, and that's when i was urged by my scuba buddies to get myself a better set. Since then i started to realize i am glued to this new hobby and eager to produce better underwater images for my self-satisfaction.

I have no plans to upgrade nor attach any extension / arms to my latest camera yet. I'm a recreational diver and carrying additional heavy accessories during my fun dives is unnecessary. The photos i share are raw images and i consider them some of the best shots taken on my recent dives. Enjoy.

Happy Bubbles

Timur K 8/27/2014 8:27:23 PM Very cool :) I have been to Sipadan, but never bothered with Tioman, however the more I hear about it, the more I want to check it out.
