Advice for diving Octopus Rock in Oman
This dive site can be identified by a little rock that sticks up by itself.
Its a very popular dive site and seems to be one of the go to dive sites for most dive centres. The dive site has that rock which is the tip of a pinnacle that goes down to about 18 metres and then all around it are coral blocks and a wide range of interesting topography to explore. Generally a very cool dive site that has a lot to be explored and it is interesting to go to multiple times.
From experience, we normally start the dive near the rock, decend, circle the rock a couple of times and then shoot off either towards west or east coral blocks. In the northern side there is a nice coral blcok the top of which is around 7 metres and its a perfect space for a safety spot.
