Advice for diving Seven Stars in Taiwan

Seven Stars is a seasonal dive site and generally speaking, can only be dived from April to July. There are only two dive operators that will go to this site which is 10K south of the southern tip of Taiwan and takes about 50 mins to arrive there from Houbihu Harbour and Marina which is north of Kenting. This site is for experienced AOW divers and above only. There are very strong currents here depending on the tides and moon phase. The sae state can also change very quickly. Divers have been lost out there and suffered from DCS. The site is spectacular. It has the wreck of an old steamship off to one side in about 70m of water. This is not diveable but two of the boilers from the ship can be seen in the shallow water at about 15m. This is one of the few places in Taiwan that I have seen Manta rays, Eagle rays, Dogtooth tuna, Giant Trevally, Bluefin Trevally, White and Blacktip sharks and very large schools of fish such as Moorish Idols, Butterflyfish, Bumphead wrasse etc.
