The National Academy of Scuba Educators (NASE Worldwide) is a training organization that provides state-of-the-art teaching materials, programs and leadership to scuba diving professionals around the world.
NASE Worldwide was founded in 1982 in Lubbock, Texas by a group of scuba diving enthusiasts and business experts with one goal – to change the way the world learns to scuba dive.
A progressive organization, NASE introduces the world to scuba diving using a “common sense” approach as well as innovative scuba training materials and methods. NASE offers real-world scuba diving lessons with new teaching styles to fit individual needs, teaching environmental responsibility, and most importantly, having fun while educating their students.
Rather than simply covering a specific number of sessions and courses before certification, NASE uses a student-centered and competency approach in which every student is individually instructed on how to perform the real-world diving skills necessary to be safe and successful scuba divers, with the end goal of certification.
NASE’s parent company, Commercial Diving Academy, is the world’s largest commercial diving school. NASE became the first scuba training organization to offer recognized Commercial Scuba Diver Courses. They also launched the NASE Worldwide “Progression Diving” concept to bridge the gap from snorkeling to scuba certification.
NASE has a strong focus on bottom time, and by that, it requires more bottom time than any other scuba certifying body (minimum of 100 minutes of Actual Bottom Time for an Open Water Certification). Not to mention, a focus on being green. Their students enjoy all their courses in eLearning format, along with free electronic textbooks (eBooks) with every course.
From the novice, looking for scuba diving lessons, to the professional, looking for higher scuba training and rewarding careers in scuba diving, NASE provides scuba training for all. Their courses have worldwide recognition and meet prerequisites for WRSTC affiliated organizations.
