The accomodations, crew, and food were abulous. The boat and crew meet every need of photographers and divers. You made my first trip to the Pacific fabulous. Had a little trouble recognizing dive guides underwater. A bright beanie ot two different colored fins might help. Massage was awesome. Wish her schedule would provide additional slots. Slots were taken up by a few, Thank u for a wonderful diving experience.
This was my first (but certainly not last) liveaboard experience. The crew of the Philippine Siren are top row, attending to our every need getting in the water, underwater, and all things topside. A couple of suggestions: when mentioning the opportunity for a massage, remind guests to share times, on our trip one diver booked herself every day which limited times for others. Just south of Manila, Puerto Galera is easy to reach and part of the “Coral Triangle”, which has one of the highest marine biodiversity in the world. Puerto Galera has all the critter finding a muck diver could dream, colorful reefs full of fish, fabulous resorts, great food, and exciting nightlife.
The fantastic diving found off the Dumaguete area of Negros Oriental, Philippines will delight any diver. Macro fans will find fantastic muck diving right offshore, and a shore boat ride to Apo Island nearby provides great wide angle opportunities with fantastic coral and lots of fish.
The Apo Reef: A pristine reef with rich life, located in the west of occidental Mindoro (Philippines), at the northern tip of the coral triangle. Don't confuse Apo Island with the identically named island in Negros oriental.
