An amazing blend of a great metropolis of experiences by the water and a breathtaking view of the snow-capped Alps, it seems so clear why cheap flights to Zurich are so wanted. Regarded as the largest city in Switzerland other than being beautiful, Zurich is on every tourist’s mind.

About Zurich

Offering a unique mix of tourist attractions - over 50 museums and more than 100 art galleries, world renowned fashion labels and designs, and the most exciting nightlife in whole of Switzerland, the city of Zurich is on everyone’s lips and remains there until it is made the most out of.

Culturally rich and exquisitely set at the intersection of river and lake, Zurich by all means is recognised as one of the most livable cities in the world. As a matter of fact, this mesmerizing Swiss town besides being the wealthiest metropolis has emerged to be one of Europe’s most fashionable destinations in the 21st century.

Well, many may have been living with a perception that only rich can afford the charms Zurich’s long been boasting but it’s not true. Even budget travelers can look forward to a great time in this fascinating city that takes one’s breath away at the very first sight.

Cheap flight tickets to Zurich are what every traveler wants to book ahead of time. I, being a passionate traveler, could not let go some of the best deals on Zurich flights as I did twice already. Well, I knew about some of the leading travel comparison search engines offering a deal within budget, but a few really left me disappointed.

There was this search engine, called compareandfly.com, that offered me what I was looking for. Not only I saved my pounds but flew to such an amazing European city with peace of mind.

Zurich will always be close to my heart. And every time I visited the city I felt as if I was doing my first time even though I had visited more than thrice.

Anyway! Let’s get started with some of the best tourist attractions in Zurich no tourist even thinks about missing.

1.Grossmunster -

An ancient Roman church built during 12th century attracts every visitor in the city on their first visit. Considered one of the landmarks in Zurich, this magnificently built church provides some of the amazing views of the city. This church has a crypt which is said to be the largest of the kind in the country.

2.Kunsthaus Zurich (Zurich Art Gallery) -

Wish to see masterpieces worked upon dating back to 19th and 20th centuries? There are paintings and sculptures such as Monet’s Water Lilies paintings. Don’t miss Alberto Giacometti’s works, an important part of the collection.

3.Lake Zurich -

Shaped like a banana, Lake Zurich is one of the Switzerland’s most beautiful lakes. No trip to Zurich is complete if a tourist misses the lake. And the most enjoyable way to see the lake is by taking an excursion boat. With regular schedules, you can get off the boat, spend some time and get aboard later. Feast on some bars and sandwiches these boats are equipped with.

4.Zurich Zoo -

Regarded as one of the world’s best zoos, all types of travelers visit this zoo to get up close and personal with many endangered species. Take a guided tour if you want that’s organised by the zoo authorities.

5.Botanical Garden -

Located at the University of Zurich, the new Botanical Garden consists of over 9,000 plants, trees and shrubs. This appealing garden will excite your senses with a wide range of colours and the pleasing smell of flowers.

See you in Zurich!
