Somboon 3 is a very large and spacious liveaboard built within the last few years specifically for Similan liveaboard diving. From October until May Somboon 3 is permanently stationed around the Similan islands except Wednesdays and Sundays when she visits the island of Koh Bon (famous for manta ray sightings) just to the north of the Similans. Her flexible schedule means that you can join any day and leave almost any day of the week. In other words, you can have as short (day trip) or as long a stay as you wish.
At 30 metres in length and 6.5 metres in beam she carries up to a maximum of 28 sleeping guests. Be aware that during changeovers there can be a lot more guests with a combination of those who just stayed overnight, new arrivals and day trippers. However, this is compensated for by running two separate groups for briefings, dives and lunch.
