Advice for diving LEVIN J MARVEL in United States
Last year I went searching for the site with an underwater archeologist from MD. I think we found part of its wreckage. Visibility was 0-3" and the bottom was very silty. Depth was around 50-60 feet. Used an expanding circle pattern and found lots of small debris, but could not positively identify anything other than some pipes/railing that seemed to be connected to something under the silt. Brought up a small piece of wood that had worm damage which is consistent with a vessel that has seen duty in Caribbean waters like the LJM.
