Advice for diving Sponge Walls in Greece

There is no better place for divers to find all the u/w colorful life of Mediterranean waters, or for macro photographers to capture amazing tiny creatures. On the walls and small caverns of this site, all species of false corals and Mediterranean sponges can be found, usually on the same rock, in a distracting variety and abundance. All together create the ideal habitat for all species of nudibranch, moray eels, scorpion fish, blennies, gobies, wrasses, starfish and more. Divers and u/w photographers return again and again to capture colorful images one can hardly believe that belong in Mediterranean and often witness schools of jacks hunting small fish, whilst a Triton’s trumpet or a Slipper lobster is anything but a rare sight.

The average depth of the dive is 9 m, and the max 19m, for divers of all levels. The usual visibility is 25 m and temperature ranges between 24-26 C in summer months and there are no currents.
