What are the disadvantages to working from home? Is it always an advantage to work from home, or are there reasons against it?
Working from home, in my opinion, is great. But having worked from home successfully since 2004, I know that there are a load of disadvantages to doing so. If you're a student you can have problems with your studying at the college or at the university, but you have a solution - you can ask about help at websites such as essaypro or similar websites, about which you need to read reviews and compare all services for finding the best and the cheapest! It is not something that is suitable for everyone. Have a think through these points before you jump feet first into your own home based business.
You Have To Be Committed
A lot of people I talk to cannot believe that I can successfully work from home for just this reason. Wake up in the morning, maybe have a lie in, go and watch a bit of TV, pop out to the shops for a bit of the old retail therapy and a cup of coffee, meet an old friend for lunch and then go for a game of golf. Get back home just in time for the school run and then play with the kids.
Sounds greate, but where in that list is the time to actually do some work? You have to be committed and realise that by working from home you must get up in the morning, switch on the computer and sit there and do some work. It is very easy to get into bad habbits and you need to set a working routine to make sure you get the weekly hours done.
Everyone Thinks You Have All The Time In The World
You will be amazed at how everyone treats you differently, just because you are self employed from home. If anyone needs to be volunteered to organise something, it is you. Friends and family assume that you can pop over every day for pet and baby sitting or helping them with the shopping.
