My father and I recently went to Costa Rica for vacation together. I thought it would be fun to scuba dive together, which required my dad to get certified. Unfortunately, my father was not able to go, because of a medical condition. That is just where the problem begin. After going to the doctor, we where told we would be refunded the money for his training and dive. That deal lasted as long as it took for us to leave the office. Oceans Unlimited has since not to refund our money.
Since Oceans Unlimited was highly rated, I didn't bring any gear, knowing that they will provided what I needed. Where to start. The BC, was old and tattered. Of the three straps to fasten the BC, one functioned properly, one was missing, and one would not tighten.

Best Dive Store in the sate of Colorado. Serving divers for over 30 years!
We were there in off-season so perhaps the review is a little biased but the entire area is over flooded with divers - scares me what its like in peak season. From my observation most of the dive shops make money from open water certifications - I would nut suggest it to experienced divers.
The SMART resorts, especially the water village part is magnificent - one of the most beautiful hotels I've seen in all my travels. Mabul Island is also the most convenient place to live if you want to dive Sipadan Island aswell. Good team and clean run operation.
The best way to dive Kauai and Ni'ihau. Seasport Divers has great boats, a great crew, and they dive some spectacular dive sites.
WAOW as a ship, crew and operation is pretty much as good as it gets. Basically its like a 5 star hotel fused with a liveaboard. Jay & crew are well organized and good vibes on board. Will be back shortly.
Al Boom is a provider of good service consistently. I have gone on quite a lot of their weekend dhow trips to Musandam and they are great fun. There are always plenty of dive guides and a large boat to ensure the diving goes smoothly.
Very cool vibe at the shop and Sean is one of the most experienced divers on the planet. Perhaps maybe because we were there in off season we didn't get a chance to see anything spectacular but had a great time exploring Tobago and the pretty dive sites around there. The night dive is really cool as well as a little cave dive we did.
The MV Orion is a great boat and is very comfortable. My only complaint would be the poor quality of the A/C in the room that kept it rather warm in the room. The crew are very experienced and know the dive sites really well. Everything is generally well organized and its a good time.
My only regret about diving with Prodive is not being able to stay long enough to dive with them more! The boat crew was fantastic and really went out of their way to help us have the best experience possible, which included staying out on the water much longer than we were suppose to because there were whales, dolphins, and orcas!
Getting the ideal Dive Experience is a great feeling and few things compare the perfect dive. Having said that, everyone’s definition of a perfect dive greatly varies but one thing that would be useful to any diver is information.
Our reviews allow for users to meaningfully express their diving experience across a series of Dive Sites and a single Dive Shop.
We feel that reviews of various businesses and locations are some of the most valuable benefits that the internet has brought about. There are people that truly deliver a good service and take pride in the work they do and then there are those who are in for the short term profit. It is important to distinguish these businesses and reward the ones who deserve your money.
In the long run, we aim to become a central and objective body that centralizes user generated content and provides an easily usable database of information that will hopefully improve the quality of the industry as a whole and improve the user experience across the board.
