About Us

Aquanauts Scuba was one of the first purpose-built dive centers to be established on Phi Phi Island, with roots going back to 1989. 

Phi Phi Islands is located 48 km. from Phuket in the Andaman Sea. 'Phi Phi' means 'the biggest island far away from the coast of Andaman Sea'. The original name of Phi Phi Lae is Li-hama which in the Malayan language means "tiger". 
 
Phi Phi Islands is one of the most beautiful island in the world. An unspoiled paradise in the midst of the Andaman Sea. Thetwo islands of Phi Phi are : 
 
Phi Phi Don, which is gently undulating with many beaches and view points and it is where "Phi Phi Island Village" is located. The size of the island is 28 Sq.km. (2800 hectare).  
 
Phi Phi Lae, is mainly rocky with towering cliffs. Underwater scenery around this island is remarkably beautiful. The size of the island is 8 Sq.km. (800 hectare).  

      Both Islands are famous for crystal clear water and a relatively shallow sea bed offering unique sights of coral reefs and enchanting marine life. With their exotic scenery, they could compete with any beauty spot in the world.
