Best Muck Dives of Puerto Galera.

Puerto Galera is located in the northwest of the Island of Mindoro and southwest of the Verde Island Passage. This marine corridor is known for having one of the richest marine bio diversity of the world. There are more than 35 dive sites around Puerto Galera where you can find great marine life but there are three muck diving sites which are more favorite of underwater macro photographers. These are Giant Clams, The Hill and Dalaruan Bay and they are all located in the Puerto Galera Bay.

Depth & Preferred Gas:

Maximum depth in these dive sites can be 20m/65ft and using Enriched Air Nitrox is recommended specially if you are a photographer. You can always multilevel your dives to shallower depths (if current allow you).

Critters you can see:

It will be a long list if I try to mention what critters you can see in Puerto Galera Bay but some of them are: Seahorses, Flamboyant cuttlefish, Juvenile cuttlefish, Mimic Octopus, Wonderpus, different species of Ghost Pipefishes, skeleton shrimp, painted frogfish, different kinds of nudibranches such as Solar Power Nudibranch, Soft Coral Nudibranch, and sometimes with a bit of luck, you have chance to see Hairy Frogfish, Harlequin shrimp, Hairy Shrimp, blue-ringed Octopus and Mototi Octopus.
