Went diving with Scubacaribe at Riu ClubHotel Ocho Rios and would not recommend them or use them again. I turned up for a refresher dive and was told that they had me down for the day before. They were able to fit me in but it was annoying as I had been told that the day I booked and turned up for was the only available space and as it was my last day at the resort it meant I only got half a days diving. If they had told me that I could have booked for the day before then I would have done this and dived both days. I then booked to go on a dive in the afternoon and was told to be back at 14:00. I turned up at 13:50 but was told that the boat had left early at 13:30 because another customer wanted to leave then (never heard of a boat leaving half an hour early before everyone has arrived). No apology from the staff and they made out that it was my fault for missing the boat as they had tried to call my hotel room, apparently Scubacaribe think that while on holiday I would not be having lunch or sitting by the pool but would in fact be sitting in my room, waiting by the phone in case they decide to change the dive boat time. I did get a refund for the dive, but no apology and they didn’t seem to care that they had disappointed a customer. The only reason I am not giving them 1 star is that the instructor that took my refresher, William, was very friendly and knowledgeable.
